Diet Pepsi: Brown and Bubbly


For Super Bowl XL, Diet Pepsi turned to us to create an online destination for its Super Bowl ad, which featured an original ode to the cola by the one and only P. Diddy. With two weeks to concept and produce an experience worthy of the Big Game, we decided to appeal to the exploratory nature of our online audience. Our concept was to create a hip-hop style artist site dedicated to Diet Pepsi and the “making of” the song. The idea suggested that P. Diddy had auditioned a number of musical collaborators, including a metal band, a Celine Dion style inspirational singer, and a Kraftwerk style electronic duo, to collaborate on the song. Users were invited to view “audition” music videos of the acts as well as upload their own image into the videos to imagine themselves as the star.
