2011 Campaign: Brain Teaser


In an effort to differentiate Expedia from other online travel sites, we chose to highlight the simplicity of the consumer experience when booking travel with Expedia through the visual metaphor of hands manipulating building blocks. In order to dramatize the benefits and demonstrate site features in a very clear, clever way, we used the sides of the block as a canvas to tell first person stories about how travelers use Expedia to get where they want to go, and save time and money in the process. We also felt the blocks would be an iconic device befitting the category leader, and could easily be used across all mediums to tell the Expedia story.
